Road Show Licence (Third Party Sponsorship)
This licence allows a company to copy music videos to
incorporate into digital programs using MPEG-1 encoding and/or
analogue programs ("Programs") for performance at various venues
(clubs, dances etc.) across Canada. Licensee may present its Road
Show in conjunction with a third party sponsor (or sponsors) and
such sponsorship may be advertised and promoted in conjunction with
the presentation of the Program or Road Show.
Some terms of this license include:
- This licence is valid for one year commencing on the date of
execution.
- You are responsible for costs to deliver and return the music
videos to the record companies.
- You are responsible for loss or damage to the music videos
borrowed.
- AVLA may at any time recall any music videos as directed by the
record company.
- You must copy music videos at equal or higher quality as
intended by the record company.
- The music may not contain any commercial messages nor edited or
altered in any way.
- The videos are intended for commercial road show airplay and
not for private home use, sale or rental.
- The costs to copy music videos are the responsibility of the
road show (licensee).
- You may not sell music video compilations. These compilations
are for LEASE only and are subject to recall at the end of the
agreement or at AVLA's discretion.
Fee:
5% of gross revenue for the first two (2) years, 7.5% of gross
revenue for the next two (2) years, and 10% of gross revenue for
the next two (2) years and any subsequent renewals.
