Licensing
CD-R
This licence allows music suppliers to copy music onto
recordable CD (CD-R) for their DJ subscribers.
Some terms of this agreement include:
- This licence is valid for one full year.
- A third party may not produce copies or distribute the
CD-Rs.
- CD compression is not covered under this licence.
- The record companies maintain ownership of rights and
copyrights of the music being copied.
- AVLA and the record companies are not obligated to provide
source music materials.
- You may only copy music from AVLA approved sources.
- A list of tracks you intend to use must be submitted to AVLA
PRIOR to making CD-Rs for record company approval.
- A signed lease agreement must be submitted to AVLA from each
subscriber that you make your CD-Rs available to.
- Each CD-R must be identified by a unique, indelible serial
number.
- The music supplier is required to copy music at equal or higher
quality as intended by the record company.
- The CDs that are created may not contain any commercial
messages nor may the music be edited or altered in any way.
- You are expected to submit to AVLA a monthly report of your
subscribers via e-mail.
- You may not sell music compilations. These compilations are for
LEASE only and are subject to recall at the end of the agreement or
at AVLA's discretion.
- Fee:
Advance Fee: $2,500.00
The license fee is $0.22 for each copy of a sound recording
made.
